Want to contribute to climate action but don’t know where to start?
Do you find yourself asking:
“do conservation jobs even pay?”
“can i do this with zero environmental or science background?”
“is it too late to pivot at this stage?”
“what should i study?”
“where can i find conservation jobs?”
Most career advice in the environmental sector makes it feel like the door is only open to hyper-specific degrees or those with the means to volunteer for free. Read every ‘how to work in conservation’ article you could find, and still didn't feel any closer? Been there.
Caring about nature shouldn't feel like a lonely fight or an unrealistic financial risk. This movement needs communicators, artists, organizers, and everyone in between, just as much as traditional scientists. You don't need to reinvent yourself, you just need a grounded map to find your place.

Proof it’s possible
“Career mentorship with Eugenia was like opening the windows and letting the fresh breeze carry away my confusion and doubts. I now have a clear, actionable approach to the next steps in my conservation journey.”
Magdalena
freelance creative, europe“In just 45 minutes I learned more about conservation and how to get into it than I had figured out on my own in a month of research.”
Garrison
recent graduate, business background“I had an amazing experience on the Costa Rica trip with Eugenia! Finca Ganadito was the perfect place for someone like me, who is pursuing a career in ecology. We learned so much about regenerative farming and I got to see a lot of amazing animals that I’ve only ever seen in pictures. Everyone was so kind, the hosts, the travelers, everyone! I felt very safe and supported.”
Juliana
graduate student, costa rica conservation trip“Instead of spending endless hours searching online without direction, I’d recommend talking to Eugenia. In just 45 minutes, I went from knowing almost nothing about conservation to having a clear, actionable list of opportunities. It’s amazing, I can’t imagine how long it would have taken me to reach this point on my own.”

Recent Graduate, Engineering BackgroundBuilt on real fieldwork, not theory: a self-designed degree in Food Systems & Global Development, a year leading conservation communications at Mpala Research Centre in Kenya, and ongoing work building regenerative food systems with Act4Food and Zero Foodprint Asia, alongside 8 years of making environmental education accessible online.
I never took a single ecology class, but I found my dream job in conservation.
Hi! I’m Eugenia, an environmental communicator passionate about regenerative food systems and community-led conservation. I started sharing online 8 years ago as @vegan.hk to help people in Hong Kong eat more sustainably, when I had no idea "environmental comms" was even a career.
Since then, I designed my own interdisciplinary degree in Food Systems & Global Development and Public Policy (because no existing major covered what I wanted to study), spent a year living and learning alongside pastoralists and wildlife in Kenya, and returned to Hong Kong to translate those global experiences into local action. Now, I’m continuing to find new ways to do that with @eugreenia. I still don't have all the answers, but I've learned this: the climate movement needs everyone, not just scientists. If you've got a skill (any skill!) there's a place for you.
Who is knowledge for if it doesn’t reach people?
The most sustainable choice is the one you can sustain.
You already have all the skills you need, just come as you are.
